Stripey Stork collect pre-loved baby items (equipment, clothes, furniture, and toys) and distribute them to families in need in the Reigate & Banstead Borough. Ran by a group of local mums, Stripey Stork are committed to seeing valuable resources being re-used in the community. They receive requests from health visitors, children’s centres, social workers and other agencies on behalf of families in need and then try and match their stock with what each family needs.
The AADC Research Trust
All proceeds raised from ‘eBear’s Attic Tea Room & Charity Boutique’ in Hamsey Green are in aid of The AADC Research Trust Children’s Rare Brain Disease Charity.
We raise funds to help towards the necessary funds needed for scientific research into the rare genetic disease ‘Aromatic Amino Acid Decarboxylase (AADC) deficiency’. Since our inception, the discovery of over 100 children, spanning more than 30 countries have so far been correctly diagnosed. Sadly the disease proved fatal for 10 of our AADC children.
The Liam Charity
This tribute fund has been set up in loving memory of my baby brother, who took his own life on 7th October 2010 at the tender age of 14.
Liam was an intelligent, artistic, witty and loving young man, who touched more lives than imaginable in his short time on earth. He had a great passion for art and spent hours drawing in the front room pretty much anything and everything.
There are organisations that collect and donate pre-loved children’s shoes but when I contacted them they wouldn’t, or couldn’t, tell me specifically where any second hand shoe donations would be sent. Having grown up in Africa and with a wealth of family, friends and acquaintances all over the word I decided to cut out the middle man so to speak and send the shoes I had accumulated directly to those in need.

Just A Little Something
I originally came up with the idea after watching "making the homeless smile" on you tube. It is such a touching video I wanted to do something to give back to the community. I collect clothes from people's houses and then organise drop off's to different charities in the area. We recently donated to a safe house for women where women's and babies clothes were donated, a homeless charity where they support both men and women who are homeless and may suffer or suffered from addictions and mental health and also to Rainbow Trust in Leatherhead. We can not give out the names of the first two due to safeguarding but have a look at Rainbow Trust they really do an amazing job. I am hoping to expand Just A Little Something to the London area too with a friend of mine who lives there but my main priority is to stay local as much as possible and collect around Godalming and surrounding areas.
